CMF Designer - 2016
“The Birdie” was Skechers’ first womens’ golf shoe that would be worn on the LPGA tour, and was in need of a CMF update. I chose materials, patterns, and colors that could stand out in the LPGA tour for Skechers’ sponsored golfers. The color story had a dark and light option with floral detail in the quarter window.
I created some style boards to get see what direction I wanted to go in. After speaking with some of the LPGA Skechers sponsored golfers, I decided to head in a floral direction.
The Birdie was revamped with a waterproof mesh upper and matte hotmelt finishes, suitable for the golf tour. In the quarter window, I gave it a floral pop to add some fun to the shoe. I added an athletic lace and a semi-translucent turf outsole and the Birdie was ready for some golf.

LPGA golfer Belen Mozo was the first golfer to wear the Birdie on the tour and posted on Instagram to show off.
LPGA stars Belen Mozo and Brooke Henderson starred in the first ever Womens’ Skechers Golf commercial, both wearing the Birdie.
